It's been awhile since I have written anything here and I apologize for that. This has been a tough week both on a personal level and on a national level. Let's start out with some happy first. That is if you are a Boston Celtics fan. The Celtics on Tuesday night completed their NBA Finals series with the Los Angeles Lakers beating the Lakers in six games. The Celtics in reality could have swept this series but I am of the belief that the NBA wanted this series to go longer than that. Not that I believe in any conspiracy theories or anything like that..wink wink. The way the Celtics totally manhandled the Lakers in game six beating Los Angeles by 39-points to win their 17th NBA title was pure joy for me. Is there anything like seeing the look of frustration on Kobe Bryants face. It was priceless.
Now to the not so happy. We lost Tim Russert who was the mediator of the NBC show "Meet the Press". Tim was not only a great host of the show but a great person. You never know how much you affect people's lives until after your gone and by judging what people had to say about him in the hours and days following his death it's safe to say that he was loved by many. Although I never met him I felt like I knew him through his Sunday Show and his political coverage. Somehow the presidential race will not be the same without him providing his insight.
On a personal note my family and me lost a great friend this week. We had to put our beautiful Golden Retriever named Argo down on Tuesday. This is not the first dog we have to let go but this one hurts more. Argo was part of our family for 12 years. He had a great personality and when he wanted your attention he would't stop head butting you until you at least put your hand on his head. Argo had cancer and we had to make the tough choice. It's not easy making the right choice sometimes. I take comfort knowing he is no longer in pain and he is up in heaven with his two brothers who went before him. I can Ben, Austin and Argo all together. You will forever be in my heart Argo and you will forever be our hero.
